Choosing the Right Keycap
Our keycaps have an OEM profile, meaning each keycap is designed for a specific row (R1, R2, R3, or R4) on your keyboard. Additionally, keycaps come in different sizes, so it’s important to choose both the correct row and size for each keycap.
Selecting the Correct Row
Each row of your keyboard is designated either R1, R2, R3, or R4. Refer to the diagram below for a visual guide to each row and the keys that belong to it. For example, the Esc key belongs to R4 based on the diagram.
Selecting the Correct Size
Keycap sizes are measured in units relative to 1u (the smallest keycap size). A 1u keycap is 18mm wide, a 2u keycap is 36mm wide (2 x 18mm), and a 2.25u keycap is 40.5mm wide (2.25 * 18mm). As shown in the diagram above, 1u keycaps are used for letters, numbers, and function keys, while larger keys like Shift, Enter, and Backspace may require larger sizes like 2.25u or 2.75u. For example, if you plan to replace your “Enter” key, please ensure your keyboard is compatible with a 2.25U Enter key as specified in the diagram. If you’re unsure, we strongly recommend measuring your keycap with a ruler or checking your keyboard’s specifications before ordering. Compatibility
Our keycaps fit seamlessly with any mechanical keyboard that features MX style switches and OEM profile keycaps. This makes them compatible with a majority of keyboards because MX style switches and OEM profile keycaps are commonly used across the entire industry including big brands such as Corsair, Ducky, Keychron, Razer, Anne Pro, HyperX, Royal Kludge, etc.
What are MX style Switches?
In mechanical keyboards, keycaps attach to a keyboard by mounting onto a switch. Our keycaps specifically require MX style switches which are characterized by their ‘+’ shaped stem as shown in the picture below. Popular switch producers like Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu, and Razer use this design.
These Avatar Keycaps are very well made and look amazing. I used the 4 elements as the arrow keys, Aang for ESC and Appa for the F13 key I have on the keyboard. I suggest using the caps on switches that have an RGB diffuser to make the caps pop.
I had messaged support prior to ordering because I wanted to check on the durability of the keys and got a prompt response (so thank you!) but I received the Unown alphabet key caps for my husband as a gift and they are outstanding. Ironically, my husband ordered the same exact set for me along with the Kanto gym badge keycaps and the Mew one! They’re all amazing!
Good quality. Boyfriend loved them.
Fun keycaps! They fit well and look great.
